ThriveNow Recovery Centers is a growing network of behavioral health facilities in Iowa, created to expand access to compassionate, high‑quality care for individuals experiencing substance use disorders and co‑occurring mental health conditions. Managed by Ascension Recovery Services, a national behavioral health organization, ThriveNow was established to address critical gaps in treatment availability while helping individuals rediscover purpose through recovery.
The Pleasant Hill location marked ThriveNow’s first Iowa facility, offering a full continuum of care that includes medical detox stabilization, residential treatment, and medication‑assisted treatment. Formerly an assisted living community, the building was a perfect footprint to be renovated into a co-ed recovery center with 12 medical detox beds.
Building on early demand and community impact following the completion of the Pleasant Hill location, ThriveNow expanded its presence with a second center in Iowa City, extending access to care for eastern Iowa and strengthening regional behavioral health capacity. Together, the two facilities allow patients to receive comprehensive treatment close to home, supporting continuity of care and long‑term recovery.
