Abdo Solutions, a leading full-service accounting and advisory firm based in Minnesota, had outgrown its space and was looking to create a destination workplace to motivate employees to come back to the office.
Following an extensive programming and fit planning process that included employee surveys and the exploration of real estate options, the organization decided to remain at their existing location after additional space on their floor became available. Abdo’s new office consolidates their space onto one floor and provides room to grow. The space is bright and inviting, with tall open ceilings and large exterior windows flooding the space with natural light. Private offices, hoteling stations, open desks and corner collaboration spaces use lighter wood, pendant lighting and branded colors to brighten the space.
A work café provides a respite for employees with a variety of seating options providing additional collaboration space. The café’s location adjacent to a training room with retractable glass doors creates space for company-wide or client events. Technology upgrades in offices and the training room support the company’s frequent virtual training sessions.
