Pope Design Group Hires Sara Rapp and Expands Practice to Northern Minnesota

Pope Design Group is excited to announce the addition of Sara Rapp as Northern Minnesota Market Lead. Sara will be based in Duluth, Minnesota, managing the firm’s operations there. She joins Pope Design Group with over 14 years of experience in the design field.

Sara is a Certified Interior Designer in Minnesota, and her recent experience includes work with Aspirus St. Luke’s Health Care System, Community Memorial Hospital, Marshall School, the Boys & Girls Club of the Northland, and The Duluth Grill Family including the Corktown Eatery and Bar and Duluth Press Building Residential Suites. She is dedicated to continuing to support the communities and clients throughout the Arrowhead and Twin Ports Regions.

Sara worked side-by-side with her late father, William B. Scalzo, Principal owner of Scalzo Architects, which he founded in 1993. Following William’s passing in 2025, Sara, along with her mother, Lynne, explored options for the future of the firm, including reaching out to Pope. In joining the team at Pope Design Group, Sara will maintain commitments to existing clients, while expanding opportunities for design services in the Duluth community and Arrowhead Region.
