Lifeworks Mankato Ribbon Cutting and Grand Opening
Monday, August 31st, 2026
Congratulations to Lifeworks on the grand opening of their new Lifeworks Center for Disability and Inclusion in Mankato, Minnesota.
Lifeworks is a non-profit focused on advancing disability inclusion, and has a long history of serving clients across 75 Minnesota counties, including Blue Earth County and the Mankato area. The new location will help them meet a growing demand for services.
Pope Design Group partnered with Lifeworks to design the new center which supports Lifeworks in connecting individuals with disabilities with employment opportunities, skill development, and personalized support designed around each person’s goals.
The center includes workspace for the Lifeworks team, along with collaboration and support spaces to connect people with resources.
“This is not just a space for people with disabilities. It’s a space for the entire community,” said Lifeworks President and CEO Gertrude Matemba-Mutasa.
The ribbon-cutting celebration was sponsored by Old National Bank and was attended by the City of Mankato Mayor Najwa Massad and members of the project team and community.
