Monday, November 2nd, 2026
Congratulations to Michael Uremovic, the 2026-2027 recipient of the Jon Pope Leadership in Architecture Scholarship.
Michael Uremovic is a first-year graduate student at the University of Minnesota pursuing his Masters of Architecture. He received his undergraduate degree in Professional, Technical, Business, and Scientific Writing from Purdue University.
In October, Michael visited Pope Design Group’s office to have lunch with CEO Ward Isaacson.
The Jon Pope Leadership in Architecture Scholarship was established in 2016 following Jon Pope’s retirement from the firm, to honor Jon’s legacy for the business of architecture by supporting University of Minnesota graduate architecture students with a similar ambition for design.
Jon devoted the better part of his career to the mentorship of the next generation of architects and designers, instilling in them the same entrepreneurial spirit that drove him to establish the firm so many years ago.
This year marks the tenth and final scholarship award, culminating a decade-long commitment to supporting emerging architects and carrying forward the spirit of leadership, curiosity, and dedication to the profession that inspired its creation.
