Friendship Village Kalamazoo Celebrates Milestone

Pope Design Group is excited to share that LCS Development and Friendship Village Kalamazoo recently celebrated the topping out for their community expansion and renovation project.  

Friendship Village Kalamazoo is a non-profit LifeCare® senior living community situated on a picturesque 70-acre campus in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The expansion and renovation project includes a state-of-the-art 40-bed long-term skilled nursing facility, 76 new independent living residences, and a major renovation of the community center.  

Adding a new, state-of-the-art skilled nursing building for both current and future residents is pivotal and represents the true ‘why’ behind this project. The skilled nursing renovation introduces modern amenities such as expanded lounges and breakout spaces, a dedicated kitchen with independent menu, large activity areas, increased administrative support spaces, and a newly designed outdoor courtyard featuring a walkable path through native landscaping. The enhanced amenity, dining, and common spaces will position Friendship Village to remain a premier senior living provider in the greater Kalamazoo area.
