Celebrating Memorial Blood Centers’ New Richfield Donor Center

To better serve the south metro of the Twin Cities, Memorial Blood Centers opened a new Richfield Donor Center, and hosted a grand opening this week.

Memorial Blood Centers (MBC) has been saving lives since 1948 as an independent nonprofit. The new Richfield location replaces MBC’s Bloomington donor center, and creates a modern facility with state-of-the-art equipment, free parking, a comfortable lounge area, an enhanced canteen experience for donors.

“The new Richfield donor center is larger, more as it is close to highways and local businesses,” said MBC Vice President Kathy Geist. “It’s our hope that this move and the upgraded facilities will ensure our donors feel comfortable, safe, and cared for, and that we will welcome new donors to this location.”

Increased square footage allows for additional donor beds to help meet the ongoing need for blood in local hospitals.
