Bethany Lutheran hosts Open House for new Eagle Crest South
Tuesday, September 22nd, 2015
More than 700 people attended the Open House event held Sunday, Sept. 13, 2015 at the $23 million Eagle Crest South complex, a 212,000 sq. ft. 144 unit continuing care campus located in La Crosse, Wisconsin.
First impressions during the event were quite positive, according to Dana Bistodeau, marketing director, Bethany Lutheran Homes, Inc.
“Members of the community were extremely impressed with the design of the facility and the ability for people to age in place, as multiple levels of care are provided,” said Bistodeau.
Pope Architects provided master planning and architectural design for the 212,000 sq. ft. project; construction services were led by CBS Construction.
“People are greeted at the main entrance by the large vaulted wood ceiling canopy with lighting that gives off a warm glow at night. Upon entering the building, you’ll immediately notice the 9-foot-wide glass water wall feature with the Eagle Crest South logo etched into the glass,” said Bryan Schleif, project manager, Pope Architects.“As you move into the two-story living area, you are drawn to the detail of the grand staircase and the two-story stone fireplace. The stair features wrought iron balusters and rich, warm tone millwork which can be found throughout the building. This is definitely the marquee piece of the space.”
The 144 unit continuing care campus consists of 80 independent living, 34 assisted living, 12 end of life, and 18 memory care units – all located near the existing Bethany senior campus and Gundersen Health System. The Hospital leased 9 acres to Bethany for the new senior community, which is enhanced by its views of the nearby Swift Creek and adjacency to outdoor walking paths.
Interior design was provided by Senior Lifestyle Design.
Eagle Crest South is located at 622 Bennora Lee Court in La Crosse, Wisconsin.
“At present, all Independent Living and Memory Care apartments have been rented. High Acuity Assisted Living is nearly half full to capacity and Serenity Suites (end of life care) is scheduled to open in the near future,” according to Bistodeau.
