The Hillock is a new affordable senior housing community in the Longfellow neighborhood of Minneapolis. It features 100 affordable units with 11 units reserved for Veterans, and units are reserved for seniors earning between 30 percent and 60 percent of the area median income.

Shared amenities include a club room, fitness center, indoor bicycle parking, community gardens, and clinic space for visiting providers.

The development is the first phase of the Snelling Yards Development, a planned redevelopment of a former municipal public works site to create an intergenerational campus of senior and workforce affordable housing. The campus is a partnership of Ecumen, a nonprofit provider of senior housing and services, and developers Lupe Development Partners and Wall Companies.

Phase 2 will add 90 to 100 units of family and workforce housing to complement the site.

The Hillock was honored with the 2022 Top Projects by Finance & Commerce.
