The St. Paul’s Monastery is the result of a partnership between the Sisters of St. Benedict, and two other organizations — CommonBond Communities and Tubman.
Pope Design Group partnered with McGough Construction, and the Sisters over a three-year period to master plan their existing 100,000 sq. ft. Monastery and surrounding 34-acre site.
The new St. Paul’s Monastery is better-sized and equipped for the needs and resources of the Sisters. It includes housing, a spiritual retreat center, bell tower, dining area, chapel, community room, health center, and offices.
The former monastery was repurposed as the Tubman Center East — a transitional housing and resource center for women and families in crisis.
