Saint Therese, a faith-based nonprofit with over 50 years of senior care experience, developed a new campus in Corcoran, Minnesota, marking a major milestone in their mission expansion.
Situated on 13 acres adjacent to Corcoran’s future downtown district, this senior living community was designed to integrate with the greater community while delivering high-quality care and lifestyle options for older adults. The community allows local residents to age in place and near their families with options for independent and assisted living apartments, and memory care services, all on one campus.
Saint Therese is known as “Little Flower,” and this served as inspiration to the interior design elements, including vibrant pops of color, subtle and sophisticated application of floral design in fabric and tile, and accents of greenery. The community’s main entrance aligns with the city’s planned Main Street, and an amphitheater was designed at the gateway to downtown to foster public use.
The walkable community welcomes residents and visitors with a cafe and dining spaces at the front entrance, leading to an open stair and connections to two-levels of common spaces, including a club room and theater with golf simulator, and wellness center featuring a warm saltwater pool, salon, massage and fitness gym.
The Saint Therese chapel was designed thoughtfully through collaboration with the Archdiocese, and key liturgical items—including an altar with a relic and restored tabernacle—were donated from a nearby parish.
