RiverTree School is a private K-12 school operating out of an existing church since 2012. Following subsequent interior renovations over the past 6 years, RiverTree outgrew the capacity of the existing building and embarked on a new adjacent school building.
The 10,400 sq. ft. stand-alone building is designed to primarily house RiverTree’s high school students with 5 flexible classrooms, a 1,000 sq. ft. Makerspace for robotics, crafts and STEM projects, a commercial kitchen for cooking classes and cultural learning opportunities, and supportive break-out areas for focused study time and team projects.
The school’s pedagogy supported a specialized design approach with spacious rooms, large windows for ample daylight and rich finishes. One classroom is arranged in a typical style while most are set up as large, family-style tables to encourage collaborative learning.
