To utilize a State of Minnesota program that offers funds to purchase lab equipment for nursing assistant training classes, Hopkins High School embarked on a small renovation project to create a new Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training lab.
The project included renovating a portion of the existing health office and adjacent classroom into a CNA open lab with 6-8 beds. The space will have new flooring, lighting and finishes. The design included adding storefront and direct connection to a multi-use classroom for training and classes.
In addition, the project included a small renovation of the school’s SPED rooms to include removing demountable walls, and incorporating new lighting and finishes throughout.
