Sam Michael has been part of Pope’s Housing team since 2012. His enthusiasm for architecture stems from his love for complex problem solving and the building process. His background in art has taught him the importance of drawings and how they help to tell a story or convey a message. He values hand sketching and considers that one of the most satisfying parts of his job.
Sam finds his work as a project manager incredibly rewarding because he gets to collaborate directly with clients to reach a common goal of providing person-centered housing for those in need. Through his work, Sam is dedicated to promoting comfort, health, and wellbeing for each resident.
Outside of the office, Sam loves camping along the North Shore of Lake Superior and doing pottery in his home art studio. He hopes to one day design and build his own cabin, and he looks forward to applying his experience in residential construction and housing architecture to create an ideal living space.
Sam is a registered Architect in Minnesota, and is licensed through the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards Accreditation.
