Windom Area Hospital Celebrates New Addition

Windom Area Hospital celebrated the completion of its new addition during an open house and ribbon cutting event held Friday, Oct. 30, 2015.

The 23,000 sq. ft. addition includes a surgery department, 12-room outreach clinic, main lobby, and heliport. A new entry with an expansive reception area featuring a coffee kiosk and 17-foot ceilings, welcome patients and guests. The two operating room were expanded from 300 sq. ft. each to 600 sq. ft.

The event was held prior to staff move-in to showcase the new surgery facility and outpatient specialty clinic to the public.

Pope Architects designed the major expansion and site improvements along with a campus master plan to explore future growth opportunities.
