WellSpire’s The Summit of Bettendorf Celebrates Grand Opening

This past week, WellSpire’s The Summit of Bettendorf celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony in Bettendorf, Iowa.  WellSpire is a partnership between WesleyLife and Genesis, and The Summit is the organization’s first new community.

Pope Design Group’s Jill Schroeder, Senior Planner and Interior Designer, attended the event alongside the Bettendorf community, project partners, and residents.

The new senior living community focuses on holistic health, offering a variety of lifestyle options and programming intended for providing peace of mind and compassionate care. The design of the space draws from the influence of the surrounding farmland and other natural features.

The Summit includes a variety of lifestyle options including independent and assisted living, memory support, long-term care, and short-term rehabilitation. With the creation of the 178-unit campus, the intention was to transfer the idea of habitual practices and layouts into the new space.

The new development was featured in the Quad-City Times, with some highlights below:

“We [asked] ourselves one question over and over and over again and that question [was], how would you do this in your own home?” said Matt Garcia, regional director of campus operations with WesleyLife.

Residents have a range of amenities to choose from on the campus, from a wellness center to a theater to multiple restaurants.
