WellSpire’s Fieldstone of DeWitt Celebrates Groundbreaking

Earlier this week, Pope Design Group joined the project team of the WellSpire Fieldstone of Dewitt community to celebrate a groundbreaking in DeWitt, Iowa.

WellSpire, is a partnership of WesleyLife and Genesis Health System. This new assisted living development offers person-centered care, activity, and a vibrant lifestyle to this fun and spirited town just north of the Quad Cities. The community will serve residents in eastern Iowa and western Illinois.

WellSpire received financing through the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development program, and the groundbreaking was featured on their website (linked here).

“Access to quality healthcare is critical for rural Iowans and the communities in which they reside,” said Darin Leach, USDA Rural Development Acting State Director in Iowa. “Helping leaders in communities such as DeWitt identify ways to improve these opportunities for rural Iowans is an important emphasis at USDA Rural Development.”

The 95,000 community is on 14+ acres, and combines assisted living, memory support, short-term rehabilitation and long-term care services. The design blends innovative household planning with an emphasis on vitality, connectivity, eclectic textures and synergy.
