St. Croix Lutheran Schools breaks ground new dormitory

Tuesday, June 3rd, 2014

Last Friday, St. Croix Lutheran Schools held a groundbreaking on a new 45,000 sq. ft. dormitory designed by Pope Architects.

Part of their Strong to Serve capital campaign, Pope teamed with St. Croix Lutheran to design a new dormitory and fine arts center in two phases.

The new dormitory spans 4 levels and will provide 76 2-bedroom dorm suites for students as well as six dorm leader apartments. Designing a space that will function academically, balanced with the comforts of home was essential to the project.

St. Croix Lutheran High School has a large out-of-state student population, as students come from across the U.S. and 17 countries abroad. The School anticipates that the new dormitory will continue to attract prospective students.

The project has been in the works for over three years with planning and fundraising. Phase one construction of the dorm is expected to take 8 months and the building will be ready for students in February of 2015.
