Shakopee VA Clinic Grand Opening Celebration
Wednesday, April 28th, 2021
The new Shakopee Veterans Affairs Clinic which opened earlier this month is anticipated to serve over 3,000 Veterans in the community.
The local SW News Media covered the grand opening event, and their story is linked here.
The newly-constructed Veterans Affairs clinic, is located off 17th Avenue and Marystown Road in Shakopee. A grand opening celebration was held last week which featured VA staff and a visit by U.S. Congresswoman Angie Craig.
This 13,700 sq. ft. community-based clinic provides convenient and accessible healthcare services for Veterans in Minnesota and Western, fulfilling the VA’s mission of providing Veterans readily accessible healthcare close to home. The clinic offers services ranging from physical therapy, mental health care, social work, dietician services, pharmacy management, radiology and more.
The existing clinic was located in a busy strip mall, with limited daylight and an outdated environment. The new clinic was designed to fully support the VA in achieving their mission of delivering compassionate care to all Veterans.
“You’ve served our country, and now we’re here to serve you,” said Community-Based Outpatient Clinic Director Kassidy Karnik.
