Saint Therese of Corcoran’s Stained-Glass Window Installation

Thursday, December 12th, 2024

Construction on the Saint Therese of Corcoran facility reached a significant milestone last month with the installation of the stained-glass window in the chapel.

Plymouth-based artist Wayne Norton spent a year working on the 21-foot, six-panel stained glass window featuring Saint Therese for the chapel. The project required exceptional coordination, from conception with the design team and Archdiocese of Minneapolis and St. Paul, to the physical installation in November 2024. The installation was featured on CCX Media.

Saint Therese of Corcoran is a senior living community in Corcoran, Minnesota offering independent living, assisted living, memory care. The chapel at Saint Therese of Corcoran occupies a central location for the multi-building campus, and the stained-glass window serves as a focal point encouraging spiritual care, worship and reflection for residents.

Saint Therese of Corcoran will become the northernmost point for what will be the city’s Southeast District—an effort to create a new walkable downtown for the city. The initial phase, including a variety of multi-story buildings with 153 apartments for independent, assisted living and memory care, is already welcoming independent living residents and expects completion in early 2025. In addition to the chapel, additional features of the community include a wellness center, theatre space featuring a golf simulator, a variety of dining experiences, library, woodworking shop and a recently finished outdoor amphitheater.
