Pope Architects joins Senior Housing Communities in celebrating construction milestones

Tuesday, September 27th, 2016

Lots of cutting ribbon and shoveling dirt in the past few weeks as several senior housing communities celebrated construction milestones. Pope Architects’ housing team was honored to partner with these clients, residents and builder partners to celebrate.

Shorewood Senior Living community celebrated a groundbreaking on September 12 in Shorewood, Minnesota. Oppidan is developing the community in partnership with Ebenezer Management Services, who will operate the 105-unit rental facility. Pope Architects is the architect on the new community and Anderson Companies is the design-builder.

Elim Care’s Valley View Village hosted an open house on September 22 of its new Health Center in Des Moines, Iowa. Pope Architects partnered with Elim Care in 2010 to master plan a repositioning of this campus. We were honored to celebrate the conclusion of phase 2 — a new 67,000 sq. ft. skilled care expansion that provides shared amenities for the existing campus. Pope Architects provided architectural and interior design services and Story Construction built the new community.

Presbyterian Homes & Services of Minnesota hosted a groundbreaking on September 27 of its new Orchard Path Senior Housing in Apple Valley, Minnesota on the shoreline of Cobblestone Lake. Orchard Path will offer senior apartments, assisted living apartments and memory care suites. Pope Architects is the designer and Anderson Companies is building the new community. Finance & Commerce reported on the project.
