VOA Nicollet Towers Housing Complex Celebrates Restoration

Friday, September 7th, 2012

Nicollet Towers, a housing community in downtown Minneapolis, is re-dedicated following a $16 million restoration.

Nicollet Towers is a 306 unit complex for seniors and families managed by the Volunteers of America of  Minnesota.  Built in 1979, the apartments were plagued with problems from aging systems, windows and facade.

Over the last two years the VOA, Pope Architects and Kraus-Anderson Construction partnered on the major rehabilitation project.   The restoration was made possible through funding from the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency and the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
