Make them Shine Gala for St. David’s Center
Wednesday, April 2nd, 2014
On Saturday, March 8 Pope Architects sponsored and attended the 25th Annual Make Them Shine Gala at the International Market Square in Minneapolis, MN.
Nearly 500 guests and volunteers filled the atrium at IMS, for a fun evening of cocktails, mingling and silent and live auction items all in support for the St. David’s Center. That evening, Executive Director Julie Sjordal was also honored for her 25 years of service to the organization, whom Pope Architects has had the pleasure of working with through out the expansion and remodel projects. The event raised nearly $275,000 in support of their mission of building relationships that support the development of every child and family.
To date, Pope Architects has designed the master plan projects to be implemented in two phases, and worked with McGough Construction and St. David’s staff to guide a construction process that allowed the programs to remain fully operational. The first phase was completed in October 2012, which included expansion and renovation of the Autism Day Treatment wing, Children’s Mental Health Clinic, pediatric therapy spaces (speech and interim OT space) and the Administration Suite. The second phase will include the Early Childhood Education classrooms, a Pediatric Therapy expansion, a lobby/entry renovation and major site improvements.
