Tuesday, October 9th, 2012
Macalester College selected Pope Architects to help expand and update its student gathering space.
Macalester College recognized the need for more gathering and social space for its students. Jeff Gears of Pope Architects helped host an open forum session for Macalester College students to review the design plans.
“We need a space for hanging, socializing, group projects, eating, watching TV, relaxing, an open and bright space that students want to spend some time in,”said Cindy Haarstad, Director of Campus Center and Conferences.
The lounge design includes a bar, performance stage with seating for 200, lounge/TV area, and study alcoves.
