GracePointe Receives National Innovation Award
Tuesday, April 17th, 2012
Pope Architects is proud to announce that GracePointe was honored with the 2012 NAHB 50+ Housing Innovation Award.
GracePointe was recognized in the Best Assisted Living/Special Needs project category.
Located in Lincoln, Nebraska, GracePointe was designed for the special needs of residents with Alzheimer’s or Dementia, with a unique twist by replicating and embracing the 1940s and 50s. Each household provides a protected, comfortable, therapeutic environment that helps residents maintain dignity and self-esteem.
“This approach supports the notion that innovative interior design allows special needs residents to celebrate life while remembering the past,” said Jill Schroeder, interior designer with Pope Architects.
The new facility was a collaborative partnership between Ecumen, Tabitha Health Care Services, Pope Architects, Henricksen and Adolfson & Peterson Construction.
