Fairview Northland Medical Center in Princeton, Minnesota welcomed its first patients to the new Medical Specialty Care space. The expansion is connected to the hospital through a corridor on the upper level.

The new two-story, 25,550 sq. ft. facility offers a variety of specialty services. The lower level is dedicated to rehabilitation, pain management, sports medicine, orthopedics, podiatry, cardiology, spine and X-ray. It features a large pediatrics rehabilitation gym. The upper level houses lab services, general surgery, ENT, GI, audiology, nephrology, neurology, urology and pulmonology.

Pope Architects and RJM Construction teamed with Fairview Northland Medical Center on the project.

“This is the culmination of a vision – of a dream started many years ago. Our goal is to get our patients the best acare as close to home as possible,” said John Herman, President of Fairview Northland.

Pope Architects also provided design services for an additional operating room, an expanded pre/post surgery area, and changes to the lobby for surgery waiting and registration. The hospital gift shop was also relocated as part of the project.
