Elim Care Center Fargo ND won Top Resident Room Remodel
Tuesday, August 7th, 2012
Elim Care Center Fargo ND won the Top Resident Room award in the 4th annual Environments for Aging Remodel/Renovation competition!
Pope Architects teamed with Elim Care Center Fargo ND to develop a phased master plan for their 1960s-era Care Center to meet the current and future needs of residents and staff.
The existing resident rooms had the typical challenges most long term care communities have, including older beds, double rooms with privacy curtains, mix-matched furniture and finishes showing a lot of damage from normal wear and tear. The objective was to update the rooms to convert resident rooms to private and to provide larger bathrooms with private showers.
Throughout the months of July and August, visitors to Environments for Aging were able to vote online for the top three projects. Pope, Elim Care and Henricksen won the Resident Room category.
Stay tuned for the 2012 Environments for Aging fall print edition for our two page spread on our renovation project.
