Elim Care’s new Bismarck Baptist Health Care Center is ready for residents

Monday, November 25th, 2013

Elim Care’s new Bismarck facility is welcoming residents this month, and planning a grand opening celebration on December 8, 2013.

The Bismarck Tribune featured an update on the new Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation facility, which replaces an existing nursing home in Bismarck, North Dakota.

The new Baptist Health Care Center is designed for staff efficiency, resident privacy, and personal choice.  The new facility was designed by Pope Architects and built by Weis Builders.

It features the neighborhood design concept, with households developed for each specific level of care. The dietary design provides personal choice in dining, offering made-to-order food delivered to each resident’s household dining room.

Jill Schroeder, Pope Architect’s Interior Designer helped create an interior design concept with a home-like, North Dakota feel.  Jill described the uniqueness of the Bismarck campus to the Tribune, “This is the largest care facility that I know of that was built to embrace this ‘neighborhood’ concept of care and design.”

Pope Architects has worked with Elim Care over the last 5 years on several senior living projects, including Fargo, ND, Des Moines, IA and Newton, IA.
