Byerly’s Edina Redevelopment features more housing and pedestrian connection

The City of Edina’s Planning Commission will be reviewing the updated redevelopment plan for the existing Byerly’s Edina site along France Avenue.

The Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal shared the updated development plans.

Pope Architects has been working with Lund Food Holdings and Schafer Richardson on the mixed use project.  Cresa and Anderson-KM Builders have been managing the development.

The proposed development will feature a new 47,000 sq. ft. Byerly’s store, three apartment buildings and street-level retail.  The design enhances pedestrian connections to the City’s Promenade.

The Biz Journal reports, “The first residential building, called Building A, would be a seven-story structure with 109 units and two levels of private underground parking for residents. That building would be developed at the same time as the new Byerly’s store.”
