Bhatti GI Celebrates Construction Start of New Ambulatory Surgery Center

Bhatti GI Consultants is enhancing the Fairview Southdale healthcare campus in Edina, Minnesota with a new medical facility.

Bhatti GI is lead by Dr. Ahsan Bhatti who specializes in gastroenterology and the treatment of digestive diseases.

To expand services to patients, Bhatti GI teamed with MSP Commercial to help them redevelop a 0.7 acre site by replacing an existing 1970s office building with inefficient systems, limited ceiling heights and infrastructure challenges, with a new 3-story medical building.

Pope Design Group worked closely with the team to meet Bhatti GI’s goals with the design of the new facility. This included adding covered parking to the street and lower level, creating clinical and support space on the second level, and designing a state-of-the-art ambulatory surgery center with five operatories on the top floor.

Completion is scheduled for fall 2023.
