71 France Welcomes New Residents
Monday, October 5th, 2015
The first phase of 71 France in Edina, Minnesota, welcomed its first residents on Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2015.
Construction began on the three building complex in the summer of 2014, and when completely finished it will include 241 units, 450,000 sq. ft. of market-rate apartments with 22,064 sq. ft. of commercial retail space. Schafer Richardson is the developer, and Pope Architects provided architectural and interior design. Kraus-Anderson Construction Company served as general contractor.
71 France offers a variety of spacious studio, 1, 2, and 3 bedroom options, some of which include dens or lofts, in a pet-friendly community.
Housing A (Phase 1) consists of 109 units. Residents will be able to enjoy amenities like an outdoor pool, expansive floor-to-ceiling windows, private balconies, underground parking, wide plank flooring, gourmet kitchens, and roof-top terraces. Fire places and built-in desk are available in some units. The building is located next to the new Byerly’s store and the Edina Promenade, which recently added a pathway that connects the apartment complex to Centennial Lakes. Other nearby shopping and sites include Whole Foods, Southdale Shopping Center, Pinstripes, and more.
According to Steven Scott officials, 40 percent of its 109 units have been claimed or occupied.
The next phase of the project is scheduled to open in January 2016.
71 France is located at 7176, 7141, and 7121 France Avenue South.
