Congrats to all of this year’s NAIOP Minnesota Awards of Excellence nominees and honorees. We celebrate with our our client and project team for winning the AOE honor for Randolph Square.
The NAIOP Minnesota Awards of Excellence celebrates commercial real estate in Minnesota by selecting exceptional developments in diverse industries. Judges toured (virtually) each nomination and evaluated them on project development, function and design, architectural integrity, market feasibility, sustainable attributes and unique project challenges.
Randolph Square – Minnesota Health Licensing Boards
Randolph Square is the fourth building in River Bend Business Park, a 22-acre development along the Mississippi River in St. Paul. Owned and developed by Wellington Management, Inc., the two-story 84,000 sq. ft. building houses the Minnesota Health Licensing Boards. Coordination with the 17 Boards, the Minnesota Department of Administration and Wellington has resulted in a multi-tenant building that meets the State’s needs and creates an inspiring office environment. The fitness center, work café and rooftop deck, along with oversized windows for ample natural light and convenient access to trails and river views, blend to create an inviting and wellness-oriented workplace.
Through a comprehensive programming and design process, Pope Design Group worked with each of the 17 Boards, the Minnesota Department of Administration and Wellington Management to design an inspiring work environment that meets the State’s unique needs and engages employees.
By working with the many user groups from programming through completion, the team designed the office suites to meet the unique standards, space needs and furniture of each independent Board. To support employee wellness and engagement, the building includes amenities like a large fitness center with lockers and shower rooms, work cafes, outdoor rooftop plaza, shared meeting spaces, and on-site storage. The first floor includes public spaces for use by the Boards and visitors. These include a board room, conference rooms and large commons and waiting area.
Randolph Square is designed with sustainability in mind. Key features include car charging stations, bike parking, large solar array, energy efficient lighting and building systems, and environmentally friendly materials.
