2014 NAIOP Minnesota honors Summit Orthopedics and C.H. Robinson

Pope Architects was honored to be involved with two projects selected for NAIOP Minnesota Awards of Excellence — Summit Orthopedics Vadnais Heights Medical Center and the C.H. Robinson Worldwide Eden Bluff Tech Center.

The NAIOP Minnesota Awards of Excellence program recognizes exceptional developments that are selected based on site development, architectural integrity, interior design, integration into the community, market feasibility, unique challenges and LEED certification. The following companies and recipients were honored with an evening of dining and entertainment at the TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, MN.  Finance & Commerce also reported on the news.

Summit Orthopedics Vadnais Heights Medical Center

The new Summit Orthopedics Vadnais Heights Medical Center consolidates three existing clinics on 7.5 acres. The new 68,000, two-story facility integrates state-of-the-art healthcare practices, including an ambulatory surgery center with 5 operating rooms and a dozen care suites where surgery patients can recover for an extended stay.

The facility is service-oriented and fosters a welcoming atmosphere for patients and their families, with cozy lounge seating, Wi-Fi capability, coffee shop café and concierge services.

C.H. Robinson Eden Bluff Tech Center

C.H. Robinson’s new Eden Bluff Tech Center is unlike any of the other buildings on its Eden Prairie campus. The new office building is designed to maximize flexibility, highlight technology and attract and retain new generations of employees. To achieve this goal, the design team focused on supporting the C.H. Robinson Worldwide brand and the individual brand of the company’s Information Technology Department.

The office includes no private offices, and is designed to meet the IT Department’s goals of Collaborate, Connect and Innovate, with informal meeting spots, enclosed conference rooms, large training room, and theater.

Pope Architects also partner with R.J. Ryan Construction and Scannell Properties to enter TE Connectivity’s new facility in Shakopee, Minnesota in the Light Industrial High Finish Category.

TE Connectivity’s new 177,000 sq. ft. high-tech office, lab and warehouse facility in Shakopee, MN houses over 400 employees. The location is dedicated to product development, testing, and pilot production activities. It is the first phase of the 35-acre Valley View Business Park development by Scannell Properties.

The facility is designed to accommodate TE Connectivity’s integrated work process by seamlessly connecting the office, warehouse and lab functions through a main street corridor that offers staff amenities, break-out areas and fosters collaboration.
