Monday, June 30th, 2014
Prairie Ridge Hospital and Health Services celebrated their grand opening and ribbon cutting last Saturday.
After five years of planning, the hospital opens with a new facility to better serve their community. With patient experience in mind, Pope Architects and Prairie Ridge aimed to maintain patient privacy, increase service capabilities and have space for families.
The new facility includes a 10-room inpatient unit, large versatile surgery suite that can be used for general surgery or in an orthopedic capacity or a large endoscopy procedure room. It also features 15 exam rooms in the clinic along with two treatment rooms. An emergency department with 2 exam rooms and a trauma room was also added along with a dietary department.
The facility is designed to be versatile with shared spaces and amenities between departments during peak times. Pope built with the master plan in mind and this facility can easily be expanded as the community grows.
