Byerly’s Edina Mixed-Use Development focuses on Pedestrians and Bicyclists

The Star Tribune featured details of the proposed development of Byerly’s Edina France Avenue store.

The development will re-structure Byerly’s existing location into a vibrant campus blending retail and housing, with enhanced access and amenities for pedestrians and bike traffic.

Lund Food Holdings is working with Schafer Richardson and Cresa on the campus re-development.   A new 47,000 sq. ft. Byerly’s store will be the first phase, followed by three apartment buildings with street-level retail and underground parking.

The article gives details on site’s proposed outdoor amenities, including widened sidewalks, seating, welcoming feature near the City’s Promenade, public art, bike racks and a courtyard for the apartments.
