Elim Care Fargo design honored with SAGE MN award

Thursday, March 7th, 2013

At the 2013 Aging Services of Minnesota Institute, Elim Care Center Fargo was honored by SAGE Minnesota.  Pope Architects designed the major renovation of the existing care center.

The team’s design advanced the SAGE design principle of Holism and Well-being with some innovative solutions.

These innovations are reflected in the major renovation of the Elim Care Center Fargo’s lobby.  The design blew out the existing low 8 foot ceilings in both the lobby and main dining room to create expansive open spaces with 17 to 22 foot ceilings.  Clerestory windows flood the renovated gathering spaces with natural sunlight.  The lobby is truly a welcoming space featuring a ceiling mural, wood details and a variety of seating nooks and furniture to enhance the updated space.   The featured photos show the before and after of the space.

Elim Care Center Fargo was also honored by the 2012 Environments for Aging Renovation/Remodel as Top Resident Room.
