VOA Anoka Rehabilitation and Living Center welcomes residents

Tuesday, March 5th, 2013

Volunteers of America is one of the nation’s oldest and largest providers of supportive housing and services for seniors.

VOA recently announced the opening of the second phase of their new Anoka, Minnesota campus as the “landmark Anoka Rehabilitation and Living Center”.  Staff welcomed more than 80 residents who transferred from an existing 40-year-old care center to the new state-of-the-art community.

The new 120-bed skilled care center is one of the first facilities of its kind to open in Minnesota in over two decades.  It is connected to The Homestead at Anoka, which offers assisted and independent living apartments and services.

Pope Architects designed the new campus with Volunteers of America and development consultant, Essential Decisions, Inc.  The household design helps meet the needs of its residents in a home-like setting.
