Celebrating National Rural Health Day

Thursday, November 15th, 2012

To help honor the progress and service of our rural healthcare clients, Pope Architects is recognizing National Rural Health Day.

Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton joined the national celebration by proclaiming November 15th as “Rural Health Day”.

Pope Architects assists many rural healthcare organizations throughout the state and U.S. with developing ways to maximize the efficiency of delivering healthcare in their communities.

Currently Pope is working with Prairie Ridge Hospital and Health Services located in Elbow Lake, Minnesota, on a replacement hospital.   Like many organizations, Prairie Ridge faced the challenges of an aging facility.  Thanks to funding from the USDA Rural Development program, Prairie Ridge is able to build a new hospital to meet its growing needs.  Pope designed the new facility to improve patient safety and staff efficiency with minimal square footage.
