United Bankers’ Bank (UBB) is headquartered in Minnesota with 100 employees, serves a 13-state market area, with more than 326 shareholder banks.

UBB was experiencing challenges in their office environment and decided to explore future real estate and office space options. They wanted to consolidate their multi-floor office into one contiguous space to improve efficiencies, enhance collaboration opportunities and better accommodate visitors.

Pope Design Group partnered with Forte Real Estate Group and UBB for strategic programming, spending time meeting and gathering insights from leadership and employees. With defined goals, space needs requirements, and workstyle information, the team developed fit plans, supporting UBB in selecting the Meridian Crossings building.

The design creates an environment with open office, hoteling spaces, private offices, and a variety of collaboration settings, including conference rooms and a work café to accommodate all-employee events. The design facilitates unique security and FDIC code compliance for banking institutions, and incorporates acoustic baffles to reduce noise and echo and alleviate privacy concerns. Branding elements and colors, millwork, ample daylight and clear views throughout the space create a modern, secure and collaborative space.
