Memorial Blood Centers – Apple Valley Wins IIDA ID Award

Congratulations to Memorial Blood Centers – Apple Valley Donor Center on winning IIDA Northland’s Interior Design Award in the Retail category.  

Memorial Blood Centers is an independent nonprofit blood center. The organization opened the Apple Valley Donor Center to expand lifesaving blood donation in the south metro by providing donors with a modern facility with many amenities.  

Located in a new retail development, the donor center is unlike any other of its kind, seeking to create a convenient place to serve the community in an environment that blends hospitality and healthcare. The space provides transparency and comfort for donors with features like an airy welcoming lounge and care with a variety of seating options, a fireplace, beautiful wood feature, statement fixtures and ample daylight with the building’s expansive glass exterior.  

IIDA Northland’s Annual ID Awards celebrate the amazing work of our local design community. This annual event brings the design community together for a morning of inspirational design and to recognize the talent in our community.  

Award winners were chosen by a three-person jury of industry experts.
