Pope Design Group is excited to announce Lauri Brachmann’s Emerging Professional Award at IIDA Northland’s 21st Annual Interior Design Awards on December 3, 2025

IIDA Northland’s Annual ID Awards celebrate the amazing work of our local design community. The Emerging Professionals Award honors a current IIDA Northland Chapter member who has shown exceptional leadership, exemplifies excellence and dedication to their work, made significant contributions to the profession and the community, should be considered ‘one-to-watch’ in our Interior Design Community, and has practiced Interior Design for less than 10 years.

Lauri Brachmann is an Interior Designer, Project Manager and Workplace Team Manager at Pope Design Group. She has 7 years of experience in the interior design profession, after working for nearly two decades in commercial real estate managing a 2-million-foot office/warehouse portfolio. With invaluable experience in property marketing, management, leasing and broker support, Lauri has a sensitivity to creating spaces that are both functional and beautiful to meet the needs of tenants and landlords.

Lauri received her NCIDQ Certification in 2020 and became a Certified Interior Designer in 2021. A key focus for Lauri is designing to improve the health and wellness of people and the planet.  She is a WELL Accredited Professional certified by the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI), and is a Fitwel Ambassador. Through these initiatives, Lauri has supported her clients as well as mentored her coworkers on best practices and implementation of certification programs and principles. She is also the lead coordinator for Pope Design Group’s WELL Health-Safety Rating and the company’s current pursuit of a WELL Equity Rating.

She is committed to supporting the initiatives of her clients, including Memorial Blood Centers and Wings Financial Literacy foundation. She also volunteers annually with Hearts and Hammers, USBGC Minnesota Chapter, and the local NAWIC chapter. She has volunteered significant time and energy to IIDA Northland, including on the Membership Committee, as a Board member and as the Vice President and Associate VP of Membership. After graduating from the University of Minnesota, Lauri was highly involved in opportunities for Studio mentorship and Design Student Alumni Board and Councils, including engaging and supporting students as they graduated and transitioned to the workforce.

Through her leadership and influence, Lauri has helped achieve recognition from NAIOP Minnesota, Finance & Commerce Top Projects, MREJ Awards, MSCA STARR Awards for projects with Wings Credit Union, Memorial Blood Centers and FORCE America, as well as contributing to the accomplishment of the firm’s recognition as Finance & Commerce Interior Designer of the Year for three years running. Lauri was the lead Interior Designer and/or Project Manager on each of these winning projects.

Please join us in wishing a big congratulations to Lauri!
