Engel Haus Phase II Celebrates Groundbreaking

Pope Design Group joined Guardian Angels, Bauer Design Group, Albertville Mayor and other city officials for the Engel Haus Phase II groundbreaking on November 19, 2025. 

Engel House is a 63-unit senior living facility built in 2013 that serves a growing aging population in Albertville, MN. Engel Haus Phase II is an 86-unit expansion that will share a dining room and common area with the original building and include additional dining and gathering space. Other amenities include a gym, wellness and therapy center, multipurpose room, club room with kitchen, maker’s room, outdoor patio space and pickleball court. 

The four-story expansion will be connected to the existing building through a main path that navigates through the gathering spaces. The German Bavarian style design will continue throughout the expansion, with key architectural features such as stone fireplaces and wood beams to highlight places of gathering throughout the building. Construction is expected to be completed in 2027.
