Hunt Electric, a rapidly growing national electrical design, build, and maintenance firm, sought a new headquarters to accommodate current and future growth needs.

The company decided to purchase and redevelop the 25-year-old, 300,000 SF Spectrum Commerce Center in Eagan, Minnesota. An adaptive reuse of this structure, which features an indoor parking deck on the upper level parking deck, presented unique architectural and structural challenges. Immovable oversized columns, stairs and elevators required the team to apply inventive solutions to optimize the main level’s aesthetic, function, and flow and aesthetic.

Hunt Electric’s vision was to create a flexible, modern headquarters that embodies brand and values while elevating the work environment. The new headquarters includes a hospitality corridor designed for hosting client and partner events without compromising secure work areas. This includes a robust work café with a variety of seating options, private outdoor patio courtyard, and a golf simulator space for respite, gatherings and entertainment.
