Celebrating 50 years in business, and the impact of design

Pope Design Group proudly reached a rare milestone this month — our 50th Anniversary. We officially turned 50 on November 12, recognizing our founding in 1974 by father and son architects, Bob and Jon Pope.  

We celebrated in style a few weeks ago with an event at the Case Building. Our celebration guests included Jon and Bonnie Pope and their children and grandchildren, along with current employees, past colleagues and owners, clients and industry partners.  

Our firm has evolved and grown during the last five decades and today we are extremely proud to look back at our history and ahead to the future.  

Through the years of growth, including expanding practice areas to better serve clients, branding changes (from maroon to purple to teal), leadership promotions and office moves throughout St. Paul neighborhoods, the company has continued to emphasize a commitment to doing the right thing, having fun and giving back to our community.  

As we reflect on the journey of our past 50 years, we are thankful for our amazing community and network of partners and clients. We look forward to continuing to work together for another 50 years of creating environments that enhance lives!
