Duluth-based Essentia Health is an integrated health system serving patients in Minnesota, North Dakota, and Wisconsin.
Essentia Health had several reasons for building a new distribution center to serve their 100+ healthcare facilities. In addition to outgrowing their West Duluth supply warehouse, they also wanted to reduce supply chain costs and improve efficiencies which in turn would reduce the cost of patient care and improve healthcare experiences. The organization partnered with Pope Design Group and RJ Ryan Construction to design and build a fully automated distribution center.
Essentia Health’s new distribution center is serving today’s medical supply chain needs and provides expansion space as the organization’s needs grow. They are now positioned to reduce supply chain challenges and better serve their patients.
