Elise’s interest in architecture started in 7^th Grade when a teacher recognized her combined loves of math, science and art. Elise is an Associate, Project Manager and Architect at Pope Design Group and focuses on education and community design. She was first drawn to K-12 projects after her children started attending school and she saw firsthand how well-designed spaces can provide better outcomes for kids as they learn and grow.

At Pope, she is a leader in promoting sustainability practices, mentoring new team members, and helping improve the firm’s diversity, equity and inclusion practices. As the founding leader of Pope’s sustainability-focused ENVISION team and a member of the firm’s DEI committee, Elise is committed to creating spaces that elevate equity and have a positive impact on people’s daily lives and the surrounding environment we serve.

In her free time, Elise enjoys traveling with her husband and three children, comfort baking, and keeping balanced with yoga and meditation. She is pursuing her meditation certification so she can share meditation’s benefits with others.

Elise is a registered Architect in Minnesota, and a WELL Accredited Professional.
