Spectrum Plastics Group Completes Renovation & Cleanroom Project
Tuesday, June 14th, 2022
Earlier this month, Spectrum Plastics Group completed a major renovation and cleanroom expansion at their Minneapolis facility.
Spectrum Plastics Group is a global leader in the design, prototyping, and development of medical devices. Their recent investment of additional renovated cleanroom capabilities was crucial for the company’s continued growth in implantable products and medical components.
The cleanroom manufacturing space was expanded to 10,000 total square feet, designed to manage the various challenges of workflow and cleanroom molding. Additional improvements to the facility included an increase to molding machine capacity, renovations to the office and employee amenity spaces, and other updates to reflect the modern services offered.
A news article from Spectrum Plastics Group highlighted on the benefit of this expansion for the company (linked here).
“These expanded capabilities allow us to remain a preferred supplier of precise, tight-tolerance injection molding and assembly,” said Paul Schmeling, Spectrum’s Senior Vice President of Specialty Molding.
By working closely with Spectrum’s internal team, Pope’s design team was able to identify key elements to meet the company’s objectives and update an existing facility to facilitate Spectrum’s continued growth and success.
