Level Up Academy (LUA) is a K-8 public charter school committed to empowering students and teachers to create a classroom environment that fosters curiosity, innovation, and problem solving. The school is anticipating continued growth, including an increase in enrollment for home school students that attend school part-time. LUA’s home is a 1970s former worship and education facility with limited space to grow.
To create a better learning environment, LUA embarked on a project that includes a 10,000 sq. ft. expansion with new classrooms, collaboration spaces and media center and a 5,800 sq. ft. expansion for a new elementary-sized gymnasium. Additional improvements include:
- New roof, interior finishes, HVAC systems, elevator and playground
- Replacing classrooms that are currently too small
- Providing small rooms for quiet learning
- Separate drop off areas for buses and cars
Together the additions and renovations improve learning environments, vehicle and pedestrian circulation, student safety and organization of the school.
