Take a peek inside Celestica’s AbelConn Facility

AbelConn, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Celestica Inc., provides rapid prototyping, volume manufacturing, and engineering support for the defense and aerospace industries. AbelConn opened a new state-of-the-art facility in Maple Grove, MN earlier this summer.

Celestica shared the news recently with a press release and virtual tour (linked below).

AbelConn’s new 110,000 sq. ft. facility gives the company the additional capacity in a key U.S. region to serve customers in Defense, Aerospace and other highly regulated markets such as HealthTech, Industrial and Smart Energy.

“The AbelConn team has a proven track record of flawless execution for our Defense customers. The new Maple Grove facility enables us to extend the same capabilities and expertise in design, manufacturing, and achieving regulatory compliance to our HealthTech, Industrial and Smart Energy customers,” said Jack Lawless, President, Advanced Technology Solutions, Celestica.

The new facility is deemed AbelConn’s Center of Excellence and features a mixture of open office and private offices with numerous collaboration zones and amenities. Highlights include a work café with a variety of seating options and a full kitchenette, break room, outdoor patio, coffee bar, fitness center with showers, and a wellness room that supports individual employee health and offers a place for prayer.
