The new Shakopee Veterans Affairs (VA) Clinic is a free-standing building conveniently located off Highway 169 and Marystown Road on the southeastern edge of Shakopee. This 13,700 sq. ft. community-based clinic provides convenient and accessible healthcare services for Veterans in Minnesota and Western, fulfilling the VA’s mission of providing Veterans readily accessible healthcare close to home.
To ensure Veterans can receive holistic care, the clinic offers primary care, mental health services with both on-site staff and telemedicine, tele-heathcare, radiology and imaging, EKGs, pharmacy management, dietetics, group therapy and health education.
The building utilizes the Patient Aligned Care Teams (PACT) model, which supports provider collaboration and efficiency, and enhances the patient experience with more treatment space and privacy.
To further the clinic’s focus on the wellbeing of Veterans and their care providers, the clinic was designed to meet the Green Building Initiative’s Green Globes certification which recognizes the team’s collaboration and the use of environmentally-conscious strategies and materials.
